Description: This print, the right sheet of the triptych Karine no Kinuginu (which translates to "Parting in the Early Morning"), portrays the tranquil moment just before dawn in the pleasure district, known as kinuginu. It captures the scene as courtesans bid farewell to their departing customers. In this composition, a young beauty is seen walking along a veranda, still appearing slightly drowsy, while a large cherry tree in full bloom in the background signifies the arrival of a warm spring morning.

The influence of Kuniyoshi is evident in the way the courtesan is portrayed, with a healthy, and elegant appearance, embodying grace and beauty.

This print is a reproduction, published by the Adachi Company.

This print is slightly toned.
