Description: Harunobu portrayed its characters with unreal and feminine traits including men, like in this image where a young man is being approached by a boy selling hamayumi (exorcising bows) and other New Year’s Day gift items.

The patterned texture used for the background stone wall adds a note of abstract touch to the whole design.
