Description: This print was intended to be mounted on an uchiwa (round fan). It depicts flowering grasses under a full moon, with miscanthus and chrysanthemum flowers in three colors representing the autumn season.

This design is a typical “moon view” subject, reflecting the tradition of full-moon viewing on the night of the Mid-Autumn Day (15th of August in the lunar calendar), an important seasonal event in Japan.

It gracefully portrays the charm of autumn flora. The round shape of the moon and its white color add softness and light to the composition.

This version is a reproduction published by the Adachi Company.

There is a slight trace of glue removal at the top of the backside.
