Description: This print depicts two sparrows with one of them in the mouth of an onigawara, a decorative roof tile shaped like a goblin or demon mask. Traditionally they were placed at the end of the temple, shrine, and house roofs as protection from evil sprits. Sparrows are known to damage rice fields and the onigawara may be attempting to protect them from the sparrows.

This version is a reproduction published by the Adachi Company.

There is a small chiri (mulberry bark scraps) in the lower left area.
