Description: The combination of a goat and a plum tree is unusual. This is a surimono print with a kyoka, a humorous 31-syllable poem written to celebrate the New Year. From the poem, we can tell that this was printed in the year of hitsuji which represents the sheep or goat in Chinese astrology. White blossoms and the goat's fur are delicately embossed. The background is softly shaded with a rosy peach tone, making it a delightful piece to look at.

This version is a reproduction published by the Adachi Company.
