Description: This print depicts a red dragonfly hovering above some bellflowers in shades of blue and purple, it captures a serene moment in late summer. It reveals Hokusai’s talent for sketching from life and his distinctive style, achieved through keen observation and realistic detail.

An interesting feature is the karazuri within the dragonfly's wings. Karazuri, meaning “empty printing,” is an embossing technique without using pigment.
