Description: This hashira-e-ban or pillar-picture format print depicts a young woman in a bathrobe. Hashira-e is a type of Japanese ukiyo-e print, specifically designed to be hung on interior pillars as decoration. These long and narrow prints, typically measuring around 76 cm in height and 13 cm in width, were popular during the Edo period.

In this scene, the woman is holding her bathrobe with one hand while removing one of her hair accessories with delicacy. A poem is written in the background. Her loose bathrobe leaves parts of her body uncovered, adding a touch of sensuality and charm. A white and black cat playing at her feet, along with the colorful flower pattern of her robe, injects joy into the overall design.

This particular print is a reproduction from the early Showa period.

Please note that this print will be folded for shipping.

There are folds, slight foxing spots, and slight dents. Also, there are some glue residues on the back.
