Description: This elegant woman lost in thought, holding her pipe, represents the theme of "deeply hidden love" from Utamaro's Kasen Koi no Bu ("Anthology of Poems: The Love Section") series of five prints on different types of love. The prints in this series were produced in the ōkubi-e ("close-up portrait", 大首絵) style that Utamaro was famous for.
