Description: This print is from "Famous Places of the Province", published by Kaiseisha in 1981. It consists of 19 prints from two series by Katsushika Hokusai: 11 prints from "Famous Bridges in the Provinces" and 8 prints from "A Tour of Waterfalls". The prints are slightly larger than o-ban prints, giving them a more powerful impression.

A small Shinto shrine perches precariously on a rocky spit of land in front of Ono Waterfall near Agematsu in Nagano Prefecture. Travellers walking the Kisokaido route stop on a bridge for a moment to gaze at the looming cascade before night falls. The rocky outcrops towering on each side which frame the waterfall and the light green mist depicted on both sides give a particularly mystical tone to the print.

There are a few slight foxing spots in the middle. Also, there is a trace of glue removal on the backside.
