Description: 36 Views of Mt. Fuji is an extremely well-known series. What started as 36 works later grew to include a total of 46 images, containing some of the most recognizable works Hokusai ever designed. It was published c. 1830–1832.

This print depicts peasants at the end of the day, returning home with their cows carrying hay. The stillness of the lake and the cool tones express the relief they must be feeling at the end of the heavy labor day very clearly.
