Description: 36 Views of Mt. Fuji is an extremely well-known series. What started as 36 works later grew to include a total of 46 images, containing some of the most recognizable works Hokusai ever designed. It was published c. 1830–1832.

This print depicts the lively neighbourhood around Nihonbashi with many shops around new year’s season. Kite flying was an extremely popular activity during new years causing many accidents and injuries. Those on this print seem to be playing recklessly as well..
