Description: This print is from the set "Ukiyo-e Beauties Overseas" (在外浮世絵美人画逸品集) which consists of 12 reprints of bijin-ga (beautiful women paintings) from Boston and Chicago museums collection.

The title of this print is a river in Kyoto prefecture and it is depicted in the top left corner of the print. The courtesan depicted in this print has lots of decorations and ribbons in her hair but her posture and her (almost non-existing) facial expression makes her appeal mysterious.
