Description: This print is from a set by Hiroshige, titled 'Eight Views of Shiba in the Eastern Capital', which consists of eight places in the Shiba area located in the center of historical Edo (now Tokyo) in Edo. The lack of framed borders and the vibrant use of primary shades is unique to this set compared to the rather dark opaque pigment often used in Hiroshige's landscapes.

The Mita Hachiman shrine at Tamachi overlooking the ocean under the beautiful moon. The use of color creates interesting color contrasts but unifies charmingly under the dark blue gradient of the sky.

A post-war reproduction by Adachi Company.
