Description: These prints date from the 1970s/80s, and were made by the Kajikawa workshop, which was hired to produce a folio containing 20 triptychs (60 prints all). They were made at a reduced size (29.5 x 19.5cm) from the original Edo-era prints, which were in the large o-ban format.

The triptych unfolds a serene yet dynamic night scene. Three graceful women, adorned in summer kimono, stand along a riverbank, their forms gently swayed by a recent breeze. Underneath the luminous moon, their silhouettes are ethereal against the backdrop of a bustling river, filled with boats, and the iconic Ryogoku Bridge. Hiroshige's mastery is evident in the meticulous detail and the subtle suggestion of movement, as if the wind still whispers through the willow leaves. The color palette is a symphony of blues, whites, and reds, each hue a bold statement against the night sky. The artwork evokes a sense of tranquility and wonder, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in this enchanting world.
