Description: These prints date from the 1970s/80s, and were made by the Kajikawa workshop, which was hired to produce a folio containing 20 triptychs (60 prints all). They were made at a reduced size (29.5 x 19.5cm) from the original Edo-era prints, which were in the large o-ban format.

This interesting triptych shows three young beauties under full moonlight, bats are flying in the sky while the woman on the center sheet is leaning against a palanquin waiting for the one coming from the right with a songbook in her hand. The third woman which is on the left sheet is also waiting while some cute puppies are playing with their shadows.

There is not much decoration or distracting ornaments other than some paper lanterns, one of which says 'Akiba All-night Lantern' on the right. All the attention is focused on the three figures whose beautiful clothes’ colors surely stand out against the neutral and sober background.

Please note that the prints are lightly glued to a mat paper with three windows, and will be shipped folded.
