The set consists of 12 woodblock prints and 28 offset printed reproductions. They were created by many representative artists such as Yoshitoshi Tsukioka, Gekko Ogata, Katsurazu Takeuchi, and Shinsui Ito. The set was published by Sodosha in 1977 in a limited edition of 980 copies. Most of the designs were being reproduced for the first time, and with the full cooperation of carvers and printers who possess exceptional skills, the woodblock prints have been beautifully reproduced. The set comes with a booklet in Japanese titled ‘Genealogy of Meiji Bijinga’, and a frame with an acrylic cover. The print size of each piece is displayed, and the outer box size is 40 x 53 x 12 cm.

This set comes with a pamphlet with descriptions about all the prints, interviews with the carvers and printers. (All in Japanese) The label from the inside of the box: #405 of the edition, published in October 1977. The paper folder the prints come in have 'windows'.
