Description: Hashiguchi Goyo was not only an artist and printmaker, but also an ukiyo-e researcher. His main focus at this time was on reproducing masterpieces of ukiyo-e from the early Edo period. In 1917, he began his work with the Ukiyo Fuzoku Yamato Nishiki-e, a collection of 240 prints in 12 volumes. These reproduction prints were distributed worldwide.

This is one of those books - The Late Edo Period, Volume 2. It features works by Toyokuni, Toyohiro, Kunimasa, Kunitora, Kunisada, and Kuniyoshi, beautifully reproduced in smaller sizes than the original. The binding of the book itself is also very beautiful, and the dimensions displayed are of the book's outer size.

The picture above is the book cover and a spread of the book.

The book cover and spread are slightly toned and foxed, but the prints are in good condition.
