Item from the Mokuhankan Flea MarketBeauty in Bath DressSize: 30.0cm by 19.0cm (11.81 in by 7.48 in) | Enlargement | Shipping Code: [L] ? Designer: Utagawa Toyohiro Era: Taisho | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: Description: This print is from the series, 日本木版画粋 (Masterpieces of Japanese Woodblock Prints), a collection of reproductions of various themes and designs published around 1924. The print quality is excellent (for most of the prints) and there are almost no traces of baren on the back, so we assume that it was at least partially machine printed. Charming full portrait picture of a beauty standing up wearing a loose blue bath dress. Judging by the towel she is carrying on her shoulder, it seems that she just took a bath. A paper screen and the detailed sheet on the left side of the picture illustrate the rest of the scene. The way her clothes are depicted shows a real interest and skill in detail.
