In the print she is engrossed in a kibyoshi book, her head bowed. The print was from Utamaro's "Edo's Celebrated Beauties" series. At the time the portrait was made, Ochie would have been just under twenty years old. This particular print is a mid-1970s reproduction by the Takamizawa Company.
