Description: 36 Views of Mt. Fuji is an extremely well-known series. What started as 36 works later grew to include a total of 46 images, containing some of the most recognizable works Hokusai ever designed. It was published c. 1830–1832.

The print depicts the golden rice paddies of the autumn harvest. A dark blue Fuji is rising beneath some white clouds in the distance. The foreground shows a plank bridge across the stream where some people are walking over it. One of them is carrying a big pack with the trademark of Eijudo Nishimura Yohachi, the printer-publisher. Some stone stands half crumbling by the water, and a string of clappers to scare away the birds are some elements that complete this charming landscape.

This particular print is a post-war reproduction by the Takamizawa Company.
