Description: 36 Views of Mt. Fuji is an extremely well-known series. What started as 36 works later grew to include a total of 46 images, containing some of the most recognizable works Hokusai ever designed. It was published c. 1830–1832.

This print is one of the ten additions of the series where most of them Mount Fuji is seen from the back. In this scene, the Minobu River is visible in the foreground, some travelers are walking along the river bank with some horses. Some white clouds rise from the river reaching up toward some cliff-tops and a green hill that frame the top of Mount Fuji. The way the water is depicted reveals Hokusai’s very personal style and skill in capturing water movements.

This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Takamizawa company.
