Description: 36 Views of Mt. Fuji is an extremely well-known series. What started as 36 works later grew to include a total of 46 images, containing some of the most recognizable works Hokusai ever designed. It was published c. 1830–1832.

What makes this print charming is its color palette which is almost entirely in shades of blue. The indigo here is omnipresent standing out thanks to other secondary colors like green.

It shows the beach of Shichiri-ga-hama (Shichiri Beach) in Kamakura with a calm sea. Enoshima island is visible on the left part and some sloping hills on the right. Mount Fuji rises up at the horizon along with some clouds whose shapes bring a modern touch to the picture.

This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Takamizawa company.
