Description: 36 Views of Mt. Fuji is an extremely well-known series. What started as 36 works later grew to include a total of 46 images, containing some of the most recognizable works Hokusai ever designed. It was published c. 1830–1832.

The uniqueness of this artwork lies in its composition, showing a striking contrast between the circular tub and the triangular shape of Mount Fuji. The liveliness of the man working on his prominently displayed wooden tub contrasts with Mount Fuji that peeks from the center with a small and subtle presence. This contrast shows the remarkable ability of Hokusai to capture the vibrancy of human activity while bringing a modern touch to this piece.

This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Takamizawa company.

There are a few slight foxing spots in the left areas of this print.
