Designer: Ando Hiroshige Era: Post-war | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: Description: From the series of Eight Views of Kanazawa. The Kanazawa area (now Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) was once a scenic area with scenic coves, and the "Eight Views of Kanazawa" is a theme depicted by many ukiyo-e artists, most notably Hiroshige's series. This is a night view of the moon over the Seto Bridge. The composition looks out from behind a restaurant depicted on the right in the foreground, to Nojima over the Seto Bridge and Matsuko-jima on the terraced side. Hirakata Bay and Nojima are depicted in the far distance, as if in an ink painting. This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Yuyudo. Note: the size of this print is slightly smaller than the original. Please refer to the displayed measurements for accuracy. Browse thumbnail pages of various selections from the catalogue ...
