Designer: Ando Hiroshige Era: Post-war | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: ![]() Description: From the series "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo (1856-1858) which actually contains 118 total prints, in full vertical format of classic Hiroshige landscapes. This print depicts the area near the present-day Skytree Tower. Back in the Edo period, it was a calm and peaceful landscape with rice fields. Hiroshige even mentioned that there is not much remarkable about this place … in contrast to the tourist attraction it has transformed into. But it was a place along the Hikifune River that flows through Koume Village on Mukojima on the east bank of the Sumida River and was a key point in the waterway where four rivers converge. This is a post-war reproduction from the Yamada Shoin Company.
