This print depicts two fishing villages: Nekozane on the right side of the Sakaigawa River and Horie on the left. This area was famous for tasty shellfish, this is probably why there are two fishermen in the foreground holding a long cord that leads to a hidden net in the sand. The zig-zag channel of the river leads to the open sea and then Mount Fuji crowning the background and witnessing the scene under a beautiful rising light sky.
