This print depicts the Ryogoku Bridge over the "Great River" (Okawa 大川), a slang used for the Sumida River by the common folk. During the summer months, many would take boat rides to feel the fresh river breeze while others went to the riverside stands for some refreshing snacks, teas, and curiosities. It was a bustling area filled with people enjoying the summertime. This is a post-war reproduction from the Yamada Shoin Company. There are slight foxing spots mainly in the upper area of this print.
