It is a starry night, a geisha is walking by the bank of the river under the dark sky. The tiny points of starlight are mirroring on the water which gives this scene a note of mystery and shimmer. Hiroshige used a charming palette of black, navy blue, and red like the kimono the geisha is wearing, which really adds a note of elegance to the whole print. This particular print is a post-war reproduction from the Yamada Shoin Company. There are slight foxing spots mainly on the margins of this print.
