Fukagawa is an area on the east side of the Sumida River. The area flourished after the big fire in 1657, but before that time it was just an empty landfill site. That draws our attention to Mount Tsukuba with the two pointy tops, depicted in the distance. While the serenity of the snowy beach is still and quiet, the sight of an eagle with its wings spread wide as it hunts its prey from the sky is full of dynamism.
