Description: It is one of the most famous prints from Hokusai’s celebrated Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series, published c. 1830–1832.

This scene captures Senju, the starting point of the historical Oshu-kaido road connecting Edo (current Tokyo) to Oshu (a region in the current Iwate prefecture). A farming couple takes a break from their journey to gaze at Mount Fuji. They're accompanied by their horse carrying grass.

This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Takamizawa company.
