Description: This print is from the "Famous Places in the Eastern Capital" (Tôto meisho) series by Hiroshige. The original print was made in the 1830s, although this particular print is a post-war reproduction by Yuyudo.

This is considered the best of the series because of its bold and fresh composition, which depicts the Ryogoku Bridge girders from below, and the brilliant contrast of the dark colors of the bridge and the bright indigo of the sky and river, which gives the print a different quality than the former landscapes.

Note: the size of this print is slightly smaller than the original. Please refer to the displayed measurements for accuracy.
