Description: This print is from the series “Collection of Famous Women of the Floating World” where women, often prostitutes, are depicted in everyday scenes. The prints present fan cartouches that show famous places from Edo and Kyoto.

This print depicts a young woman sitting down at a low wooden desk, there is a full case of brushes next to her and she is holding one of them. There is an unrolled letter before her and she is slightly turning her head towards the fan inset on the upper side that shows a view of Shinobazu Pond. She is wearing a plaid kimono in soft colors, tied with a deep green obi.

This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Yuyudo.
