Description: The print is showing a full-length portrait of a young courtesan from the Pontocho District in Kyoto, she is shyly hiding her mouth behind a fan and lifting the hem of her robe showing part of her legs and the geta clogs she is walking in, part of her chest is also visible adding a note of sensuality to the design. There are some touches of blue like the inner kimono, hair accessories, and the water inside the fan inset, that give the whole print a note of joy.

Inside the fan inset, there is the Pontocho town with a teahouse along the Kamogawa River. It is widely open and we can see some customers inside as well as some lanterns hanging down in a very summery mood. There is a poem written below the fan inset.

This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Yuyudo.

There are a few small chiri (mulberry bark scraps) in the lower area of this print.
