Description: A carp is in the middle of a pond and occupies the center of the composition, the plant behind it gives the hint that the fish is inside the pond, even though the irises framing it makes us think of an outside view because of the wooden border on the right recalling the ones used for river banks.

The carp is treated with a scrupulous sense of detail when we look at the fins and scales while the aquatic weed in the background is treated with a more vague or suggestive brushwork. In this way, it is the fish that stands out and turns into the protagonist of the print.

This is a post-war reproduction, from the Adachi company.

This print has slight creases at the edges.
