Description: An Otanzaku format print of Autumn at Kaian-ji Temple, from Hiroshige's "Famous Views of Edo in the Four Seasons" (Shiki Kôto meisho) series. The print shows travelers stopping on a hill to admire the view of ships in the harbour as the sun sets. Bokashi gradation has been skillfully employed in the print to bring out the sky and sea.
