Description: The original painting was made in 1948 when Yokoyama Taikan was 80 years old and the publisher, Tanse-sha, made it into a woodblock print using 150 impressions probably in the early 1990s. Landscape showing a fantastic view of the snow-capped peak of Mount Horai rising above the clouds. We notice that some metallic gold is used for the sky making it shimmer.


Lower in the middle, a village is perched on top of some rocky cliffs above the sea and surrounded by pine trees designed with bold brush strokes. Some birds are flying around enjoying the nice weather...
