Description: This is one of the "Selected Masterpieces of Japanese Ink Brush Painting" (日本水墨画名作撰) published by Tanseisha probably in the 1970s or 1980s. The original ink brush paintings, which express the depth of nature in a world of limited ink colors, were turned into woodblock prints with 85 to 90 impressions by master printers using antique Nara ink (black, blue, and brown).

A beautiful and white full moon is announcing the beginning of a calm and quiet night. The three figures in the foreground seem to enjoy the fresh evening while discussing between them.

Note: it may be hard to tell from the web page, but this print is large - almost double the O-ban size. Please check the dimension indicated at the top.

Very slight foxing, toning, and a few creases on the upper margin. Some small dark spots on the lower part.
