Designer: Yoshida Toshi Era: Late Showa | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: Description: A Yoshida Toshi original print from the series of 12 "Kacho Mokuhanga" (flower and bird woodblock prints), depicting birds and flowers for each month of the year. The series was commissioned by the Franklin Mint in the early 1980s. It is well known that Yoshida issued landscape and bird designs over in the US through them, but he also did a smaller-scale calendar series with their Japanese branch, for the local market, and this is from that series. They were sold in a 'limited edition' (quantity unspecified) with a certificate of authenticity, signed, and sealed in a wooden frame with an acrylic cover. This print is titled "Mutsuki (traditional name for January) - Bohemian Waxwing on Cypress". The displayed dimension is the print size and the frame outer size is 31.5 x 24 x 1.5 cm. This print and the mat are slightly toned and have a few slight foxing spots on them.
