Description: From the series “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo” which actually includes 118 total prints.

This print depicts Mama village which was very famous for the beauty of its autumn maples.

We can perceive that Hiroshige frames the whole view inside a large forked trunk. The maple trees are actually the real protagonists of the print as they dominate the space in the foreground even though beyond them we can still perceive the shrine and the bridge of the village.

There are slight creases on this print.
