Description: This print is from the set, 日本水墨画名品集 (Masterpieces of the Japanese ink painting), published by Tanseisha, a Kyoto-based publisher, probably in the 1980s or 1990s.

The composition in which the main peak is in the corner of the picture, with the haze and the river water in the foreground, is characteristic of Gakuo. The bright and peaceful spring scenery is in magnificent manner.

Note: it may be hard to tell from the web page, but this print is large - almost double the O-ban size. Please check the dimension indicated at the top.

There are a few slight dents at the left margin of this print.
