Description: This is from Yoshitoshi's popular series 'One Hundred Aspects of the Moon', a series of 100 large nishiki-e prints, all of which were based on moon-related scenes from Japanese and Chinese stories, poems, and songs, and which took eight years to complete (1885-1892).

These prints are the index sheets that were created after the series was completed. The titles of the prints are shown on colored and patterned squares with beautiful calligraphy. The flower patterned background is gray-toned so the squares will stand out.

These prints are worn, toned, and creased. But they are in good condition overall for their age remaining nice color.
