Description: Mimeguri, an area on the bank of the Sumida River not too far from Tokyo Skytree, is featured in this design by Hiroshige. A few lonely figures trudge through the deep snow past the entrance to Mimeguri Shrine. The pristine state of the snow is emphasised through gray gradations in the sky and around the quiet shrine. Mimeguri Shrine still stands, for those wishing to compare Hiroshige's design against the area today.
