Description: This print depicts the actor Ishikawa Monnosuke II as Osome in the play Fuji Sengen Tenjin Risho Kagami.

It shows a bust portrait of the actor against a dark grey background. Monnosuke is holding a fan with alternating red and white panels and a yellow comb with some ornaments decorating his hair. He is wearing a traditional kimono and his facial expression is not exaggerated, his mouth is slightly open to show surprise.

Although there is a general simplicity in the style, this portrait also shows an interesting power.

There are a few slight foxing spots and a chiri (mulberry bark scraps) on this print.
