Description: This print is from a set 'Selected Masterpieces of Ukiyo-e Prints', published by Adachi in 1971.

It depicts two courtesan attendants of the Yoshiwara performing Kashima dance, which is from the series 'Seiro Niwaka' (Niwaka Festival in the Yoshiwara). Although it was Utamaro's early days series, we can already see the greatness of Utamaro, who later became known as a master of bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women).
