Description: A stunning print of a young female trainer of performing monkeys. A famous New Years' poem is printed above her.

The highlight of the print is not, however, the girl, but undoubtedly the striking background, printed to mimic suminagashi, a type of paper marbling used in Japan since the Heian period.

It was produced by the Adachi Company in 1971, as part of the set 'Selected Masterpieces of Ukiyo-e Prints'.

There are a few small foxing spots on this spot.
