Designer: Ando Hiroshige Era: Mid Showa | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: Description: This print is from Hiroshige's first "eight views", from the series "Eight Views of Figures Inside and Outside ". It is a somewhat unique eight-view print, in which a picture of a beautiful woman in Yoshiwara is used as one of the eight views, similar to Harunobu Suzuki's "Eight Views of Zashiki," and even includes a play on words, such as "kihan" (帰帆=returning sail) for "kihan" (妓はん=geisha). It depicts a courtesan holding a long smoking pipe, perhaps looking at her lover downstairs. This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Yuyudo.
