Description: From the series "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo (1856-1858) which actually contains 118 total prints, in full vertical format of classic Hiroshige landscapes.

Three colorful strips of cloth are hung out taking on the whole foreground and giving a cheerful note to the composition. A fire-watch tower stands in the background along with some buildings below which were devoted to lodge visitors to Edo, maintaining the function of this site as a point of entry and departure for travelers from the north.

This particular print is a post-war reproduction from the Yamada Shoin Company.


There are slight creases on this print. Also, there is some ink bleed at the top.
