Description: This print is from the set 'Kacho Fugetsu (Beauties of Nature)' which consists of 20 Hiroshige design prints in ōtanzaku format published by Yuyudo in the 1970s, produced by the best engravers and printers at that time.

The bird in this image is sometimes described as an onaga-dori, a type of rooster, but we are really not so sure about that attribution ...

[Update: A lady in Zurich, apparently quite knowledgeable about bird species, tells us, "This is hands-down a red-billed blue magpie."]
