Designer: Ando Hiroshige Era: Post-war | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: Description: This print is from a set of reproductions of 25 of Hiroshige's lesser-known prints, given the English title "Rare Publication: Selected Works by Hiroshige" by the publisher, O-Edo Mokuhansha. This painting captures the dusk at the Port of Shimizu. Although some of the ports in the "All Japanese Ports" series are not thought to have been actually visited by Hiroshige, this port of Shimizu was based on a sketch he made during his Tokaido trip in 1838, and is filled with a sense of beauty that strikes our hearts. There is a small chip at the top left corner of this print. Browse thumbnail pages of various selections from the catalogue ...
