Item from the Mokuhankan Flea MarketKiyomizu Temple in Ueno ParkSize: 38.0cm by 26.0cm (14.96 in by 10.24 in) | Enlargement | Shipping Code: [L] ? Designer: Ando Hiroshige Era: Post-war | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: Description: This image is from the massive series "Edo Meisho Hyakkei" (100 Views of Famous Places in Edo) created by Hiroshige. It depicts a location still present today - a temple in Ueno Park built in (rough) imitation of the famous one in Kyoto with a high platform. The tree we see - with the curled branch - has long since died, but has recently been 'created' anew by the park gardeners, although on a much smaller scale. A post-war reproduction from the O-Edo Mokuhan-sha Company. There are two pinholes, some misregistration, and uneven color on this print. Also, there are a few traces of glue removal on the backside.
